Bihar adds NEET PG and DNB seats across 22 districts to strengthen specialist training capacity

Bihar has raised its PG medical training capacity to 204 seats across 22 districts, adding Madhepura and approving 12 new DNB seats. Darbhanga, Siwan, Saran and Madhepura institutions received allocations in Psychiatry, OBG, General Medicine and Anaesthesia. With more than 3,000 MBBS seats, the state awaits NBEMS approval for further DNB expansion. The Health Department plans PG seats in all 35 district hospitals, reserving half for graduates of Bihar’s medical colleges.
